Australia, the runners-up of the previous edition of the ICC World Championship, will start their WTC 2025-27 campaign with a Test series against West Indies.
Australia lost to South Africa in the final of the World Test Championship earlier this month and will get down to business with the first Test starting from June 25 in Barbados.
The Test series also kicks off the WTC 2025-27 campaign for West Indies under their new skipper Roston Chase. He succeeded Kraigg Brathwaite to that position with Windies Cricket looking to start a new chapter in Test cricket. Brathwaite stepped down after West Indies failed to qualify for the WTC 2025 final.

Talking about their squad, Brandon King and Kevlon Anderson have received maiden call-ups in the format. However, it is the pace trio of Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph and Jayden Seals that seems the exciting prospect for West Indies. Shai Hope and opener John Campbell is returning to the Test squad.
Talking about Australia's squad, they decided to drop Marnus Labuschagne from the Test series on the back of his poor form. Steve Smith injured his finger while fielding in the WTC 2025 final and is only expected to return in the second Test. With Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green not in great form, this is a big chance for West Indies to win the first Test at home. Fast bowler Brendan Doggett has been ruled out due to an injury, with Sean Abbott named as his replacement.
Talking about the schedule, the first Test will be played in Barbados from June 25-29 followed by the second in Grenada from July 3-7 and finally the third from July 12-16. Both teams play a five-match T20I series after the Test series. Jamaica hosts the first two games on July 20 and 22. St Kitts hosts the final three games on July 25, 26 and 28.
