"I don't think he's in their plans anymore. Everything now depends on his performance. If I were Rohit, I would have considered retirement after this," Tiwary said in an interview with CricTracker.

A Player Like Him Doesn’t Deserve This - Manoj Tiwary

Tiwary emphasized that a player of Rohit’s stature deserves better treatment, stating,

"He didn't just win one ICC trophy – he won two. He led brilliantly in the ODI World Cup as well, both as a captain and player. He also has five IPL titles. A player like him doesn’t deserve this kind of humiliation."

He further added,

"Before they push him out, it would be better if he steps away on his own – that way, he can leave with his dignity intact."

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his long-term future and participation in the 2027 ODI World Cup, Rohit Sharma remains part of India’s ODI plans for now. The 38-year-old is expected to return to action later in October for the three-match ODI series against Australia.
