Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will battle it out with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season's last league match on Tuesday, May 27. RCB is qualified for the playoffs, while LSG is out of the playoffs race. However, the match is important for RCB as they eye a win and top-two finish in the IPL 2025 Points Table.
RCB slightly floundered in their last match against SRH and lost the game by 42 runs. For a change, RCB failed to ace a 200-run chase. With the knockout stage just two days away, RCB would be hoping to fire on all cylinders in the match against LSG.
Although the Rishabh Pant-led is out of playoffs, they can still spoil the party of RCB, just like they did of GT. LSG's batting has looked solid, with the fiery top order of Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, and Nicholas Pooran in blazing form. The team also created history by being the first team in IPL in which all three overseas batters scored over 400 runs. However, the lack of contribution from middle and lower-order batters enabled LSG to botch most of the games.

The match will be played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Unlike last year, this IPL 2025 season, the pitches in Ekana have been far more batting-friendly than bowling friendly, with teams easily posting scores in excess of 200 runs. It has also become relatively easier to bat in the second innings in Ekana.
