Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are set to cross swords with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match 15 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) on 3rd April. It will be a rematch of last year's IPL final. In that match, KKR dominated SRH in all departments of the game and clinched their third IPL trophy. However, a lot has changed for KKR, and this year, their campaign has gotten off to a rocky start. The Ajinkya Rahane-led side is currently languishing last in the points table, managing to just win one game from three matches played so far.
Meanwhile, SRH has also struggled in the ongoing IPL 2025 season after their first win against RR. SRH's ultra-aggressive batting display has led them to two collapses against LSG and DC. However, SRH coach Daniel Vettori has made one thing clear, SRH won't back away from this approach.

Even all-rounder Andre Russell has failed to have an impact.
The form of senior players is a cause of huge concern for KKR, who look to emulate the success of IPL 2024 heroics. Bowling has also looked mediocre, with the likes of Spencer Johnson, Vaibhav Arora, and Russell going for runs. While Varun Chakaravarthy has looked good, he has lacked support from the other end.
On the other hand, SRH's bowlers have also looked listless despite boasting of experienced players like Pat Cummins, Mohammed Shami, and Harshal Patel. In fact, SRH has the worst economy rate for bowlers this IPL, going at (11.5) runs per over. Even they are handicapped in the spin department, and that might come to haunt them on a sluggish Eden Gardens surface.
However, SRH has one of the most fearsome batting orders, and the likes of Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Klassen, and Nitish Reddy will look to target KKR spinners Chakaravarthy and Narine.
