India Under-19 will battle it out with the England Under-19 team in the first Youth ODI on Friday, June 27. The first match will be played at the County Ground in Hove. The visitors are being led by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) youth star Ayush Mhatre. The right-hand batter has captaincy experience, having previously been in charge of the South Africa Under-19 tour. The 17-year-old is also in a rich vein of form as he was one of the breakout stars for CSK in the IPL 2025 season.
Mhatre will have another prodigy RR's Vaibhav Suryavasnhi, who catapulted into fame by scoring IPL's second-fastest hundred against GT. The southpaw smashed a ton off 35 balls and made everyone take notice of the prodigious talent he possesses. Apart from these two stars, the India U-19 side also have wicketkeeper Harvansh Pangalia, who struck a brilliant unbeaten ton against England U-19 in the warm-up ODI on June 24.

On the other hand, England U-19 will see two exciting upcoming players Ben Mayes and James Isbell. The latter impressed everyone by scoring a century against Scotland U19 during a tri-nation series in 2024. James Minto will lead the hosts' bowling line-up. He is in good form as well as he has taken seven wickets in his last three games.
